The escalator on the access route from King’s Road to Fortress Garden and Healthy Gardens is an important everyday facility. On 31 July 2025, Lily Li proposed drainage and fault-prevention improvements and asked the department to follow up on reliability.
In its written reply for the September 2025 meeting, the department stated that the escalator had resumed operation on 6 August and outlined follow-up inspection and maintenance arrangements.
